UP RTE Admission 2026 – The Government of Uttar Pradesh has released the UP RTE Free Admission Notification 2026 under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009.Under this scheme, 25% seats in recognized private unaided schools are reserved for children from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Disadvantaged Groups (DG) for the academic session 2026–27.

🟢 1st Round

  • Application Start Date: 02 February 2026

  • Online Apply Last Date: 16 February 2026

  • Lottery Declaration Date: 18 February 2026

🟢 2nd Round

  • Application Start Date: 21 February 2026

  • Online Apply Last Date: 07 March 2026

  • Lottery Declaration Date: 09 March 2026

🟢 3rd Round

  • Application Start Date: 12 March 2026

  • Online Apply Last Date: 25 March 2026

  • Lottery Declaration Date: 27 March 2026

Class Age Limit
Nursery 3 years or more but less than 4 years
LKG 4 years or more but less than 5 years
UKG 5 years or more but less than 6 years
Class 1 6 years or more but less than 7 years

Eligibility Criteria for UP RTE Admission 2026

  • Child must belong to EWS / DG category

  • Family income should be within the prescribed limit

  • Child must fall under the defined age criteria

  • Applicable only to non-minority private unaided schools

How to Apply for UP RTE Free Admission 2026?

  1. Visit the official RTE portal

  2. Complete online registration

  3. Fill the application form carefully

  4. Upload required documents

  5. Select nearby schools (Neighbourhood Rule)

  6. Submit the application

  7. Wait for online lottery result

Required Documents

  • Child’s Birth Certificate

  • Income Certificate

  • Caste Certificate ( issued by the Tehsildar )

  • Residence Proof

  • Parent/Guardian Aadhaar Card

  • BPL / Pension / Disability Certificate (if applicable)

Selection Process

  • Applications will be verified online

  • Computer-based Lottery System

  • School allotment will be published on the portal

  • Selected candidates must report to the allotted school within the given time
